Extending the Built-in Format Rules
Volume 3, Issue 3
Summer 1993
Mark Sofroniou, Loughborough University of Technology, Leicestershire
The package Format.m extends
Mathematica's built-in formatting rules for translating expressions
into other languages. The new functions permit assignments to expressions,
include lists as data objects, and address many other limitations of the
standard rules. Together with the Splice
communication process, the package allows efficient, accurate, and flexible
translation of Mathematica expressions into compiled-language code.
