Simulate -- If You Must!

Simulation can be a useful tool to simplify the solution of decision problems. However, as typically practiced, simulation often leads to improperly formulated models. This article outlines how to use some of Mathematica's statistics packages to help solve event-contingent decision problems by similation and symbolic methods.
