Bruno Buchberger is professor of computer mathematics at the Research Institute for Symbolic Computation (RISC) of the Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria. He is the founder of RISC and the founding editor of the Journal of Symbolic Computation. His main research contribution is the theory of Gröbner bases. His current research interest is the Theorema Project.
