Building User Interfaces Using J/Link
Where to Go from Here This article has been a quick introduction to the subject of creating user interfaces for Mathematica programs using J/Link. There are many techniques and tips that were not covered. For more information, consult the J/Link User Guide. In particular, look at Section 1.2.7, “Creating Windows and Other User Interface Elements.” There are also several examples provided with J/Link. They can be found in the <Mathematica directory>/AddOns/JLink/Examples/Part1 directory, and most are discussed in detail in Section 1.3 of the User Guide. Get yourself one of the many books on the Java user interface APIs, put a link to the Java Platform JavaDocs in your browser favorites, and get programming! |
