Summary

In this article we showed some basic principles from the theory of uniform distribution of sequences modulo one using Mathematica functions and graphics. The functions can easily be used or extended for introductory lessons in this field. The graphical representation of the structural behavior of local discrepancy provides additional information on the behavior of discrepancy for different point sets and impressive images. These images may also be used to motivate further distribution measures such as the -discrepancy.
